Chania may have little snow but once a year, on Boxing Day, it has no shortage of Santas. We are not prone to overdoing things in Crete so the “run” is more of a gentle stroll over 3.5 km.
The run is for a good cause, raising money for Children’s charities. EU 240,000 had already been raised prior to this year’s run and as the event grows in popularity it is hoped to exceed EU 100,000 per year in future.
Sadly the route does not pass la Maison, but then part our charm as Chania’s preferred luxury hotel is our location close to everything but far from noise…
It is too late to join the 2016 run but the next one is only a year away…. aspiring participants can start their training today with a gently walk to the corner store…
